Virtue N: We Nurture Relationships

This upcoming week promises to be an enriching journey for families as we delve into the theme of nurturing healthy relationships, guided by biblical teachings and stories. "Biblically Centered Kids" is set to explore this virtue through engaging narratives from both the Old and New Testaments, providing children and parents alike with valuable lessons on how to embody God's goodness in their daily interactions. Here's what to expect and how to make the most of this week's teachings.

Monday: The Heart of Nurture

Our exploration begins with an in-depth look at what it means to nurture. Drawing inspiration from the concept of the Trinity, we’ll see how God’s relationship within Himself exemplifies perfect harmony, support, and love. This foundational understanding sets the stage for the week, highlighting the importance of fostering relationships that reflect God's nurturing nature. Parents will be equipped with scriptures and talking points to help children grasp the essence of nurture in a way that resonates with their young minds.

Tuesday: Old Testament Insights

The story of Nehemiah offers a powerful example of how determination, coupled with a nurturing spirit, can lead to remarkable achievements. As we recount Nehemiah's journey to rebuild Jerusalem's walls, families will learn about the importance of nurturing relationships with leaders and peers to accomplish a shared vision. It's a story that encourages perseverance, faith, and collaborative effort, all rooted in the desire to uplift and support one another.

Thursday: New Testament Wisdom

Transitioning to the New Testament, the narrative of the early church demonstrates the vital role of nurture within a community of believers. Here, children will see how the early Christians supported each other through sharing resources, offering encouragement, and living in harmony. This story reinforces the message that nurturing relationships extend beyond our immediate families to include our wider community and church family.

Nurturing as a Continuous Journey

As the week unfolds, let the stories of Nehemiah and the early church be a springboard for discussions on the importance of building and maintaining nurturing relationships. Encourage your children to reflect on these narratives and think of ways they can be a nurturing presence in their own circles.

This week is more than a series of lessons; it's an opportunity to embed the virtue of nurture deeply within our family dynamics. By actively discussing and practicing the principles of nurturing healthy relationships, we pave the way for our children to grow into compassionate, caring individuals who reflect God's love in every interaction.

Let's look forward to a week filled with learning, growth, and nurturing as we seek to cultivate an environment where every family member feels valued, supported, and loved. Together, we can make nurturing a fundamental part of our lives, creating stronger bonds and a more loving world in the process.

Warmly,
Jonny & Danika Jordan

About Biblically Centered

We want to help equip your family with knowledge and conversations for you to live and defend your Christian faith.

In recent years, we kept seeing people with our same background walk away from Jesus. In order to prepare our children for the shifting world and culture, we knew we needed to solidify our children's biblical worldview so they will be prepared for the future.

We know it's important to show your children what it means to "live like Christ." We hope that you are inspired to do that with our Biblical Family Virtues.

We reside in Kansas with our 3 children (ages 7, 5, 3). We enjoy being outside and having occasional dance parties.

Blessings, Danika & Jonny Jordan
